Vascular structure sculpture

I'm working on a tactile sculpture for the new Organ Printer exhibit at the St.Louis Science Center.
It represents a healing stage of bio-ink printing. The bio-ink is arranged in a cylindrical form. The bio-ink then fuses together or heal naturally in a sterile incubator. Dr. Malcolm Steinberg's concept of differential adhesion works; it is what binds the bio-ink or spheroids.  The spheroids are made up of a mixture of several cell types and hydro gel that naturally group together or surround other cell types that differ in cell adhesiveness. So, the structures can be designed based on the cells DNA program. These cylinders or tubes once fused will function as a vascular tube.
